A Day In The Life of Thomas Rongen
I saw the game today, oh boy.
DC United had lost by two to one.
Although I did my best to win,
The players lost again.
They didn't give their best, oh no.
They let me down as usual.
I think it's really rather sad
That they are so bad.
I saw the Internet today.
Big Soccer posters were not thrilled with me.
They said I couldn't coach at all,
But who cares what they say.
I can outcoach them any day.
Surely they could not be more wrong.
Woke up, fell out of bed,
Brainstorms banging in my head.
Etch to goal, Conteh to sweep,
Perhaps a switch to 3-6-1.
Watched the practice for a bit;
Told the team I thought they'd quit.
Then I went upstairs and had a smoke.
KP spoke and I went into a dream . . .
I saw the game today, oh boy.
DC United had just lost once more.
And as I stood and watched the rout
I heard the Screaming Eagles shout:
"Rongen, you're the only thing here that's really wrong!"
Could I some day be gone?
